The BJM bracelet designed by Christian Metzner combines the classical craftsmanship of white porcelain with modern technology in the form of borosilicate glass. The latter is a type of glass that is more resistant to thermal shock than any other, withstanding temperature fluctuations of about 165 °C without fracturing. The minimalist design and austerity provoke comparison with antique Roman ornaments, while asserting contemporary sculptural qualities.
The Christian Metzner label is characterized by a timeless and clear design, whose formal rigor is always broken with pleasure. The HTW Berlin-trained designer is known for his works that are at once subtle and imaginative with an unusual choice of materials.
